There is absolutely no way for AlertTrace to track your location. The minis do not have the function or capability for GPS and tracking. The sole purpose of the minis is contact tracing.
We certify that the devices, at magnitude less than radio energy, are inert in terms of impact on human health and are entirely safe to use.
AlertTrace tracks all users’ contacts so that in the event someone tests positive, you will be able to trace that individual’s contact history and notify their recent contacts to get tested and quarantine in order to prevent further infection.
The data is completely anonymized. That means no individual user can be identified from the data outside of the designated ID number provided to users, which only your accounts Admins will know. Additionally, all data is encrypted and secured end-to-end.
he distance between the minis is not recorded. This is because distances vary when people are moving around, and if we were to record the exact distance every second, the battery would be consumed in only a few days. And if we were to record the exact distance every second, it wouldn’t be useful for covid-tracing anyway. The minis simply record that a contact was made and the duration of time the minis spent in close proximity to one another, which is what is needed for contact tracing.
A Mini can run off of it’s battery for about six months before the battery will need to be changed or the Mini will need to be swapped out.
Both the Minis and the Hubs are ip67 rated, meaning they can withstand rain, be briefly submerged, and splashed.
There is a settings option to turn on alerts for the minis. When this feature is enabled, the Minis will beep when they are within close range of another mini and a contact is made.
Currently the default SIM cards for U.S. based customers can use both AT&T and T-Mobile cell towers depending on whichever network is strongest in the area. If Verizon is strongest in your area, we can provide a Verizon SIM. Outside the U.S., we must first ascertain what carriers provide CAT M1 in the area and then must provide a specially-provisioned SIM.
